Hello YLL families:
Maine's Little League District 6 Tournament season will begin in a few weeks. Yarmouth Little League baseball families are invited to review the committment, learn about the process and submit a signed form if your player would like to be considered for a team. Please be advised that all signed forms must be returned by Saturday, June 4th. Key items to note about these forms are as follows:
1 - Signing the form confirms that the player in question can commit to the conditions of being on the team, which include making every effort to attend all practices and games. Practices will essentially start right after our regular season ends. Tournament start times differ by age group and are listed above. Reminder: League Age is the players age on April 30, 2011.
2 - Signing the form does not guarantee placement on a team, as we may have more players than we have roster spots.
3 - The YLL player and coach selection process is outlined HERE. Choose the All-Star Tournament Information button on the left to read about the All-Star Process.
Please click on this link to print the form: YLL 2011 All Star Commitment Letter. We will have blank forms available on Saturday at the Memorial Day Weekend picnic. The forms may be returned to John DeFusco or Michele Amoroso.
The All Star tournament games can be a very fun and rewarding experience that exposes players to a high level of baseball competition versus our District 6 rivals - Westbrook, Falmouth, Cape Elizabeth, Freeport, etc. etc. Go Yarmouth!
Please direct questions to John or Rob per below.

P.S. YLL's Delorme baseball field will be (half) host to the 9-10 District 6 Tournament beginning June 24. This is an exciting event for our community so please come watch the games, work a shift at the snack bar and cheer for the home team! |
