How to Get Involved: 5 Easy Paths!

Quite simply put, Little League Softball and Baseball does not happen without volunteers; and honestly, what could be more rewarding than spending a litlte time and a little energy watching our community's youth develop, as they play a game they'll remember all their lives.

2010 Volunteer Form

We've outlined 5 simple paths to becoming involved in Yarmouth Little League!

  1. Volunteer as an assistant coach. Assistant coaches are needed at each level of the league. Even if you cannot tell the difference between a basketball and a baseball - we need parents who can help organize and direct kids in drills, in the dugout and on the diamond. We also need head coaches as well but you should at least know which ball is smaller.

  2. Volunteer as a team parent. Ever sent an e-mail? Then you're perfect for this job. Its all about communication, and occasionally helping staff Heidi's Hut (snack bar).

  3. Many opportunities to join in for a single day of stewardship. Field Maintenance Day, Opening Day, Memorial Day Picnic are just a few of the events we need people to step up to the plate!

  4. Volunteer at the Clam Festival. Our number one fundraiser needs people to help cook, prepare and sell lobster rolls and other traditional baseball delicacies.

  5. If nothing appeals to you, or you're just too busy - you could always eat 30 or more lobster rolls at the clam festival. You will have our thanks and sympathy.
