YLL Families –
We hope that everyone is doing well under the circumstances. A special thanks to all of you in the healthcare community and school department who are working so hard for all us.
The Little League organization has recommended a delay of league activities until May 11. All events on our calendar including evaluations on April 5 and the start of the season on April 29 are postponed. If you were planning to go to Dick’s Sporting Goods for YLL appreciation weekend on April 4-5 that has not been cancelled. However, we urge you to check with Dick’s as it gets closer.
We are hopeful our kids will get to play ball this season. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide you with any updates on our league calendar.
- Little League Clinics Postponed
Like so many other organizations in Yarmouth and across Maine, we have been monitoring COVID-19. You most likely received the Yarmouth School Department’s update. Consistent with this policy, Little League is postponing our baseball and softball clinics scheduled for March 15, March 22, and March 29 at the YHS gym.
We are excited for the upcoming season, but are committed to helping keep our community as safe and healthy as possible.
We will update you if any of the clinics are placed back on the schedule. It is our intention to hold evaluations on April 5 and start the regular season on time the week following April vacation.
