Below is information on each of Yarmouth Little League’s baseball levels to give you a better idea of where your child will be playing at various points in his baseball career.
Farm League is a developmental league designed to teach the fundamentals of baseball. The farm program emphasizes skill development, teamwork and fun. It is the first step toward full-on baseball.
Yarmouth Farm League Baseball is exclusively for boys that are Little League Age 8.
Minor League Baseball is the introductory level of Little League Baseball. The teams travel to several games, but most are held locally. The pitching is player-based and all the typical rules of Little League Baseball apply with the exception of limited stealing rules.
Yarmouth Minor League Baseball is for boys ranging from third to sixth grade. You must be at Little League Age 9 and no greater than Little League Age 12.
We do evaluations in the spring to balance the teams and make sure everyone is properly positioned for their best development and safety.
Major League Baseball is the highest level of Little League Baseball. The teams travel to some of their games as well as host teams here. The pitching is all player-based and all the typical rules of Little League baseball apply. We also have a few local rules in place.
Yarmouth Major League Baseball is for boys ranging from fourth to seventh grade. You must be at least League Age 9 and no greater than League Age 12.
The determination of who is in the Major League is based on how many returning players we have along with evaluations that take place in late March.
