Baseball Leagues

Below is information on all Yarmouth Little League Baseball levels, to give you a better idea of where your child will be playing at various points during their Little League career.

Farm League

Farm League is a developmental league designed to teach the fundamentals of baseball. Players start pitching in this league but coaches still assist with pitches when needed. Yarmouth Farm League Baseball is exclusively for players that are Little League Age 8. All games are in Yarmouth.

Minor League

Minor League is often for third graders, fourth graders, and some fifth graders.

Most games are played in Yarmouth but there will be some travel to nearby towns. This is “real” baseball. Players pitch and all the Little League Baseball rules apply (with the exception of some limited stealing restrictions). We hold evaluations in the spring to balance the teams and make sure everyone is properly positioned for their best development and safety.

Major League

Major League is the highest level of competition, and the division is often a mix of fifth and sixth graders. Depending on numbers, we may sometimes have a few fourth graders in this league. Most games are played in Yarmouth but there will be some travel to nearby towns. Players pitch and all Little League Baseball rules apply. We hold evaluations in the spring to balance the teams and make sure everyone is properly positioned for their best development and safety.

Juniors

Once you age out of traditional Little League (older than 12), we do offer an intermediate Juniors league during the summer for 13/14 year olds. This season begins following the middle school baseball season.
