Below is information on each of Yarmouth Little League’s softball levels, to give you a better idea of where your child will be playing this year.
Yarmouth Farm League Softball is exclusively for first and second grade girls. It is an excellent, low key way to gain exposure to softball.
Yarmouth Minor League Softball is for girls ranging from fourth to sixth grade. You must be at least League Age 8 and no greater than League Age 11.
Many third, fourth and fifth graders play Minor League Softball. The determination of who is in the Minor League is based on how many returning players we have in Major League and also evaluations in late March. If we believe a child is not ready for Major League, we will keep her in Minor League for safety.
Major League Softball is for girls ranging from fourth to seventh grade. You must be at least League Age 9 and no greater than League Age 12.

Junior League Softball is for girls ranging from League Age 12 to League Age 14. A competitive and fun league, Junior League focuses on refining skills and creating a strategic team approach to the game. The players are typically 7th or 8th graders who have aged out of Little League.
